2. Ayer Keroh Country Club (AKCC)

This golf course was carved out of virgin jungle and was officiated in 1964 by Tun Ghaffar Baba, then Chief Minister of Melaka and later deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. The course maintains a large part of the virgin jungle to minimize the ecological impact and today golfers share the course with a variety of bird species, playful monkeys, frisky squirrels and lazy monitor lizards that live in the jungle lining the fairways of the course.
